Successful Blood Donation Drive by Bernard Tekpetey Foundation at the University of Ghana

The Bernard Tekpetey Foundation recently held a successful blood donation event at the University of Ghana campus on Saturday, June 15, 2024. The initiative saw a remarkable turnout of volunteers, including students, faculty, and local community members, all eager to contribute to this life-saving cause.

The event aimed to address the critical shortage of blood in hospitals and was organized in collaboration with the National Blood Service. Over 300 pints of blood were collected, surpassing the organizers’ expectations and significantly boosting the national blood reserves. Bernard Tekpetey himself was present, encouraging participants and expressing gratitude for their support.

The foundation’s commitment to community health and well-being was evident throughout the event, which also featured health screenings and educational sessions on the importance of regular blood donation.
